Julie Hardaway is a San Antonio attorney who is well -versed in all aspects of Probate Law. She is a Texas native who grew up in San Antonio and graduated from Douglas McArthur High School. Julie attended Southwestern University, earning a Bachelor of Arts, International Studies, in 1993. She received her law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law in 1996. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the San Antonio Bar Association and the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. She has also served in many capacities for the San Antonio Estate Planners Council. In 2010, she completed the Texas Bankers Association Graduate Trust School, ranking top in her class.
She will bring professionalism and a strong work ethic to Probate Court Two. As staff attorney of Probate Court One for six years, Julie learned how to run a probate court with a mixture of legal expertise, fairness and compassion. Over the last 13 years, her experience as a fiduciary has given her a learned perspective of those she will appoint and entrust with the great responsibility of caring for others and managing their resources prudently. Her experience has given her an intimate understanding of the roles and duties of executors, guardians, trustees, and other fiduciaries. Her passion for providing excellent customer service will be evident as she ensures the court fulfills its purpose of serving the citizens of Bexar County. As part of the business and non-profit community, she has led strategic planning and process improvement initiatives and will promote these in the court as well. In sum, Julie’s entire career has prepared her to be the judge of this court.
