Judge Walden Shelton for County Court at Law No. 9

Walden Shelton 1Judge Walden Shelton was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas.  He attended the University of Texas at San Antonio where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and he also holds a Master’s degree in Management. Judge Shelton graduated from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law (now Texas A&M University School of Law) where he was a member of Phi Delta Phi.  He is a Life Member of The National Eagle Scout Association, and a 15-year Fellow of the  College of the State Bar of Texas.  He was named by Texas Monthly as a Super Lawyer (Top 5% in Texas) in 2009 and 2010, and is ranked as Distinguished by Martindale-Hubble (Top 2% in the USA), and ranked Superb by Avvo.  Judge Shelton has been Protecting Bexar County since he was first elected to the bench in 2010 and was re-elected in 2014.

County Court at Law No. 9 is a General Jurisdiction Court hearing Criminal Misdemeanor Cases and Civil Cases up to $200,000. Judge Shelton also sits as an Assigned Judge hearing Civil District Court cases.
